I have my pret- ty pink flowered cup at my side filled to the brim with steaming black 'gold'. Aha, perfec- tion. Cozy up everyone, it's time for our fort- nightly visit. We have been pretty lucky with the weather this month so far. But I'm warn- ing you, I'm going to start wishing for some snow. Perfectly blessed first-time parents, Bart and Jessica (Baldasaro) Drennan of Stratford have a son, Henry Dominic Drennan, born at Strat- ford General Hospital on Friday, November 13, weighing in at five pounds, four ounces. Par- ents and baby are all doing very well. Henry is second grandchild, and first grandson for Mike and Adele Drennan of Goderich. A very wel- comed cousin for Emily Drennan and nephew for Debra. This is grandchild number three for Joe and Chris Baldasaro of Hamilton. Congratulations and all the best to the proud new parents and grandparents. For those keeping count, Henry makes an even dozen great-nieces and great-nephews on my side of the family tree. With tons of love we welcome you Henry. The Dungannon Community Angel Tree service will NOT be held this year. Husband Wayne and Alvin Moran will see to it that the lights are put on the tree and they will be lit up Friday, the 27th and will be left on until Janu- ary 6. The lights are still representing those in our community who have died too young. Last year was the 16th year for the service with each year names added and removed as needed. Last year 85 names were read aloud as part of the service. Family dinner to celebrate Monica's birth- day was held on Sunday. Lots of fun, food and of course presents! Granddaughter Myrah made a special gift of art work to her mommy. Happy birthday! On December 3 the Nile Church has fam- ily bingo beginning at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Our next gath- ering is a lunch out for Christmas, then back to Marilyn's house for a fun Chinese auction. We always have mountains of fun and tons of laughs. Any organization that's been around 112 years has to be doing a few things right. Just 28 more shopping days, not counting the 24th of course. We all know that's the 'men only' shopping day. Just kidding guys. I have been out there on the last day myself from time to time, mostly steering Wayne in the right di- rection - ha ha. The weather isn't doing much to put us in the Christmas mood though is it? Maybe if I switch to eggnog I'll feel a bit more like baking a figgy-pudding and hanging a partridge up in a pear tree. For now, I'll just finish my tea and work on my list. Now that I've found some decent potatoes, what more could a girl want? Maybe this year I'll finally get that pony I've been asking for.
