While the season ended a week too soon,
the Senior Vikings racked up a Huron Perth
League Record of 27 wins, three losses to
finish in second, only one set behind the first
place team. The boys captured the Tier II
championship at Fanshawe College, the con-
solation championship at the Chatham -Kent
Invitational, and the championship at their
own Viking tournament.
A Huron -Perth silver medal and a WOS-
SAA silver medal adds to their collection. The
team finished with a season record of 72 wins,
35 losses.
They boys will have one last chance to once
again show why they are remarkable, when
the Senior Boys host the Alumni Boys in the
annual alumni volleyball game on December
17 at GDCI.

The Vikes lost the first set 20-25, and in a
thrilling second set were edged out by Central
Elgin 26-28 despite some stellar recoveries
and fantastic digs from their back row defen-
sive players.
Scott McGee delivered some solid serving
late in the match that allowed the Vikings to
get closer to Central Elgin however, the Vikes
lost the third set 23-25.
"Zach Doherty proved again why he is one
of the top players in the league with hard at-
tacks, solid blocks and great serving," Phillips
said. "Left side Sean Dawson made numer-
ous contributions throughout that match that
showed why he is an invaluable asset to our

Patriots downed
The Goderich Junior 'C' Sailors spent
the weekend at home, coming back
from a first period deficit to beat Mount
Forest 4-3 Friday night before playing
to a close 3-1 Toss to Walkerton Saturday.
Shawn Moore is out for the season after
a busted knee Saturday, however
Sailors general manager Ken Crawford
said Brett Austin will be stepping up to
Junior 'C'. Meanwhile captain Scott
Miller notched an assist at the Junior 'C'
all-star game November 22 .
