MCTAGGART, DONALD WAYNE
At University Hospital in London on Friday,
November 6, 2009. At peace now in the arms
of our Lord, Don McTaggart of Goderich and
formerly of London in his 70th year. Beloved
husband and best friend of Elaine. Loved
father of Donna Jo and her husband Rich
Laing and Lynda Francoeur. Grandpa of Justin,
Matt and Lauren Laing. Brother and brother-
in-law of Ken and Liz McTaggart, John and
Joan Hawkins, Gerald and Meg Hawkins,
Rosemary and Kevin MacDonald and Maureen
and Tom Symeonakis. Also left to mourn are
many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held
at New Hope Community Church, 4009
Colonel Talbot Road, Lambeth on Monday,
November 9 from 7-9 p.m. A prayer service
was held at Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. -
Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Drive East,
Goderich, Ontario N7A 4H8 (519-524-1221)
on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. with
visitation one hour prior to service time. The
family wishes to thank Dr. Noel, Dr. Calquhoun,
the staff of ICU and ER at University Hospital
as well as the 2nd floor staff of Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital in Goderich.
Flowers are gratefully declined. The family
would prefer memorial donations to the Mid -
Western Ontario Adult Day Services. -47ar
MARGERY MCLEAN
1915-2009
On Sunday, November 8, 2009 at her home in
Hidden Valley, Kitchener, Margery McLean,
age 94, passed away peacefully with her
daughters at her side. She was born and lived
in Goderich until 1991. Predeceased by her
husband Charles, four_ sisters, two brothers,
and son-in-law Thomas Haw. Loving mother
of Sandra (Paul) Dirksen and Jane Haw.

Peter and Christopher. Grandmother to David,
James and Heidi, Kenneth, Dwight, Steven and
Rob, and six great-grandchildren. Margery
enjoyed her last six years in Hidden Valley
with a variety of wildlife. She also appreciated
the love of three cats and two dogs. Cremation
has taken place. Friends and family were
welcomed to a celebration of Margery's life
which was held at the Dirksen residence on
Saturday, November 14, 2009 between 11:30
a.m. and 2 p.m. A special thank you is extended
to Care Partners and the women of ComCare
for their excellent care and compassion.

SHORN, MARY JANE
(MOMBOURQUETTE)
On November 4, 2009, Mary Jane Shorn
passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49
years in her London home. Mary Jane Shorn
was born on June 15, 1960, in Trenton, Ontario
to Joseph Mombourquette of Glace Bay, NS
and his wife Madeline Smith (Schmidt) of
Goderich. Born into an air force family, Mary
Jane spent her childhood living in communities
across Canada. The family returned to Goderich
in 1975 upon her father's retirement and she
graduated from Goderich District Collegiate
Institute. Mary Jane pursued secretarial studies
at London's Westervelt College after secondary
school. From there she worked as a secretary
and then as a manager at the former Simpson's
Department Store before returning to Westervelt
as an instructor. Mary Jane married her beloved
husband Rob at St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Parish, Goderich in 1985 on her birthday. The
couple was blessed with their son Robbie two
years later. Mary Jane was predeceased by her
mother and father, and leaves her husband Rob
and son Robbie of London; her brother John
and his wife Fay Mombourquette of London
and their children Josh and Jean; her brother
Paul and his wife Maureen Mombourquette of
Salt Lake City, Utah; her mother-in-law Anne
Shorn of Huntsville; sister-in-law Lad and
husband Dr. Michael Helde of Windsor;
brother-in-law Tony Shorn and partner Sandra
of London. At Mary Jane's request, there will
be no memorial service or internment. Her
ashes will be distributed in the Maitland Valley
near Goderich. Donations may be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation. -47ar
