My rant of two weeks ago regarding the poor state of the po- tato has paid off. It was suggested I try Apple Park for my potatoes and I'm glad I did. Thank you to those who called with that advice. Now, we best get our tea poured and I'm not sure we can settle in. I'm in a hurry today so you better grab onto my coattails and hang on. Here we go. The Dungannon Women's Institute cel- ebrated their 95th anniversary November 10. I will have all the details for you at our next visit. Remembrance Day has always held a spe- cial place in my heart. This year like every other, I will remember, and ask you to do so as well. Given all that has been done for us - it is the least we can do. Debbie Bauer This is your last reminder that the Down- town Revitalization Project committee, head- ed up by Kerri Herrfort, has set a date for the "Xtreme Make -over Brainstorming Session". They invite everyone from Grade 7 on up from Dungannon and the surrounding com- munity to participate by coming out to the Ag- ricultural Hall on Thursday, Nov. 12. We are to arrive at 6:45 p.m. with our sleeves rolled up. We will be given dessert and refreshments and the meeting will begin at 7 and go until 9 p.m. I for one am going to do my best to show up. This committee has been working hard on our behalf and I think we owe it to these fine folks to support them in this effort. Coming up with a logo will be primary on the agenda. For more information on the Xtreme Make -over, contact Pauli Sommer at 519-529-3227 or by email at sommer@hurontel.on.ca. Christmas in Dungannon will be on De- cember 5. The Teen Team will nm their `Chil- dren's Store' again at the Country Christmas event Feel fire to bring your donations to this great youth group when you come for the Nov. 12 meeting. For more information on the Teen Team or the Children's Store, give Su- sanne Cutting a call at 519-529-7170. The Dungannon Lions have been working on the skating rink at the pavilion. Good job everyone. I'm sure they could use some vol- unteers to finish the project Families are particularly encouraged to at- tend ttend Game Night at the Nile Church. Novem- ber dates are the 13th, 20th, and 27th starting at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcomed. Recently in euchre; high white card, Tom Young with 66 and Lorne Howe was second with 63. High pink card was Jean Swanson with 73 and Grace Cartwright had 62. Lone hands went to Dave Sproul with three. Well dh tt's it for now. If I know anything else, I've done my best to forget it If you have anything you would like includ- ed in the column, please give mea call at 519- 529-7820 or email me at wdbauer@hurontel. on.ca.
