The Goderich Business Improvement
Area Annual General Meeting was a night
filled with award winners and changes to
the executive boards.
Held Wednesday, November 4 at The Liv-
ery, the AGM saw Michael Strickland take
over the reins from Cheryl Dunn after her
three years as the Chair of the BIA execu-
tive.
Strickland, who has been vice -chair for
three years, said he is stepping into shoes
that are hard to fill.
"[Dunn] has done amazing things with
her time here," he said, stating that, since
Dunn took over, they have accomplished
many of the goals set out in their 2006 fu-
tures plan.
"[Dunn] spear -headed the Health and
Harvest Festival... the information kiosks
being built downtown [and] the downtown
map," he said. "We sent out nearly 2000
copies of the map this year to tourists and
cottage country residents.
Strickland also highlighted the fact that
Dunn was a primary mover in the Residents
Survey, which was completed last year, and
was recently adopted into the Ontario BIA
