OUTSIDE PLANT TECHNICIAN
Tuckersmith Communications Co-operative Limited is a communications
company offering a full range of telephone, security and data services in Huron
and Perth Counties.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Outside Plant Technician position is a full time,
permanent position that reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager. The
focus of this position is to install, maintain and repair various telecom/data
network elements.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Post Secondary Degree in an applicable field: (Networking, Electronics, etc)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Solid organizational skills
• Cabling & hardware installations
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Proficient knowledge of telecommunication and security systems an asset
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Corresponding with clients, and report directly to plant manager
• Completion and submission of reports, documentation or work/job orders
daily
• Adaptation to both individual deliverables and team responsibilities.
• Valid Class G license
• Installation and maintenance of networks (may include heavy lifting and some
climbing)
• Ability to work flexible hours; on-call outside of regular business hours

FOR THE SELECTIVE REMOVAL
OF TREES ON THE GODERICH MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
The Municipality of the Town of Goderich is currently seeking proposals
for the cutting and removal of trees infringing on runway airspace at the
Goderich Municipal Airport.
Please note that you will be required to supply your own equipment and
tools to perform this job. The Town also requires that you carry liability
insurance showing the Town as an additional named insured and to be
registered with WSIB.
