"What we are doing now is for the seasonal flu." Though the clinic was for the sea- sonal strain of influenza, Haley said there will be another round coming when H 1 N 1 vaccines start coming in. Already the Huron County Health Unit has received their first shipment of H I N 1 vaccine, 2,500 doses in to- tal. These will be given out to the high- est risk -groups as well as health care workers throughout the health unit's territory. The second -round shipments will be distributed to family health teams as well as other community health cen- tres. "As we get more vaccine, it will be sent out," she said. "Check with your family doctor to see if it is available." Haley said it is hard to tell if there were more people taking advantage of the first round of flu shots this year, as '' .. • E reit ford 551 Huron St. ` 1: Cinemas •: 273-6780 IShow Schedule for Oct. 30 - Nov. 5 Michael Jacksons This Is It , Nightlyat 7:00 & 9:15, Sat/Sun matinee at 2pm 1 I Couples Retreat ,,+, Nightly at 7:00 & 9:15, Sat/Sun matinee at 2pm IWhere the Wild Things Are Nightly at 7:00 & 9:15, Sat/Sun matinee at 2pm Astro Boy INightly at 7:00 & 9:15, Sat/Sun matinee at 2pm ""' Law Abiding Citizen lee Nightly at 7:00 & 9:15, Sat/Sun matinee at 2pm • S6.00 Tuesdays www.stratfordcin- • . . u the clinic was for only seniors over the age of 65. The health unit will not be doing in - school inoculations for children this year, after getting less than favourable turnouts at those clinics last year. "We found previous years when we had done schools there was not a great turnout," she said. "This is more cost- effective and a lot of parents want to be with their children when they are getting (the shot)." The health unit is taking great ef- forts to make flu shots available to the public this year, she said, including holding weekend clinics for those who don't have time to roll up their sleeve during the week. Meanwhile, the Huron County Health Unit web site has daily updates on the flu shot, flu spread and the lat- est in H1N1 news.
