Passed away peacefully with his family by his
side on Thesday October 13, 2009, Robert
"Bob" McCamen of Goderich in his 65th year.
Beloved husband of Dorothy McCarnen of
Goderich, cherished father of Cari (Kevin)
Harris of Goderich, Patrick (Kris) McCarnen
of Kincardine. Special grandfather to Brody
and Hailey Harris, Stephen and Noelle Gadd.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held •
at McCallum & Paila Funeral Home, Goderich
on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 7- 9

MCCUE
Evelyn Pearl McCue passed away peacefully
with family by her side at her residence on
Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Evelyn McCue of
Curve Lake in her 89th year. Beloved wife of
63 years to Clare. Always loved and
remembered by her son Jim McCue of
Peterborough and son-in-law Murray Pryce of
Goderich. Dear grandmother of Sally, Adam,
Jonathan, Matthew, Mark and great
grandmother of 15 great grandchildren. Also
survived by her cousin Ronald M. Shewen.
Predeceased by daughter Joanne Pryce, brother
Victor, sister Ruth Wigsall and by her parents
William and Frances Shewen. A graveside
service was held at Colborne Cemetery,
Goderich on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2
p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial
donations may be made to the P.R.H.C.,
Dialysis Unit. Friends may send condolences

88th year. Beloved
husband and best friend
of Gwen (Routledge) Lavis for 65 years.
Loving father and father-in-law of Bryan and
Carol Lavis of RR 2, Zurich, Paul and Joy
Lavis of RR 3, Clinton, Gordon and Anne
Lavis of RR 5, Clinton, Allan Lavis of RR 2,
Clinton and Anne and Rick Elliott of Blyth.
Sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren John and
Angela Lavis, Sherri and Jeff Eby, Darrell
Lavis and Jean Cook, Leeanne and Scott
Middleton, Kathy Lavis and Dana Edwards,
Bart and Heather Lavis, McKenna Lavis,
Layne Lavis, Nathania Lavis, Russell Lavis,
Michaela Lavis, Jeff Elliott and Heather Elliott
and by his eight great grandchildren Samantha
Eby, Justin Eby, Ashley Lavis, Meghan Lavis,
Jonny Lavis, Noah Middleton, Ashlyn Edwards
and Autumn Lavis. Predeceased by his parents
Bart and Mabel (McKinley) Lavis, one sister
Ruth Baker and by one brother George Lavis.
John enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1942
serving with the Royal Canadian Artillery and
finally with the Engineering Corps until the
end of the Second World War. John was a
proud member of the local Royal Canadian
Legion Clinton Branch No. 140. John was very
active in community affairs having served as a
board member of the United Communities
Credit Union for over 30 years and also as the
first chair of the combined Huron County
Board of Education. He was also a member of
the Ontario Horseman's Association and an •
active member of the Clinton United Church
for over 60 years. Friends were received at the
Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. - Clinton Chapel,
153 High Street, Clinton on Wednesday from
7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and
7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held at the
Clinton United Church on Friday, October 16,
2009 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Leslie Searles
officiating. Interment Clinton Cemetery.
Fiowerbearers were granddaughters Sherri
Eby, Leeanne Middleton, Kathy Lavis,
McKenna Lavis, Nathania Lavis, Michaela
Lavis and Heather Elliott. Pallbearers were
grandsons John, Darrell, Bart, Layne, and
Russell Lavis and Jeff Elliott. A memorial
service was held by the Royal Canadian Legion
Clinton Branch No. 140 at the funeral home on
Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Donations to the
Clinton United Church,
Canadian Diabetes
Association or the Clinton
Public Hospital
Foundation would be
appreciated as expressions
of sympathy. (Donations
by cheque only please).
