Showtime!
Betty Byleorski Finds a Home, a play about Canadian
immigration at the turn of the century, and written
and directed by Duncan McGregor, will be staged
by Goderich Little Theatre Oct. 22-25 and Oct.
20-31 at The Livery. In the photo above, Betty
Byleorski, played by Gael O'Shaughnessy, comforts
seasick Walter Byleorski, played by Lucas Kunz, in
the hold of the ship as the family prepares for the
long journey to Canada. In the photo at right, the
cast of Betty Byleorski Finds a Home belts out a
tune, The Prairie Home. Below, Mrs. Taylor, played
by Susan Armstrong, exhorts her son, Bert, played
by Jack Thomas, to board the train for the long jour-
ney.

In the above photo, Nicolai Homeniuk, played by Chris
Watson is checked over by two crewmen while boarding the
ship. Quinn Bradley and Bob Marshall play the role of crew-
men on the ship headed west. At left, Kevin MacDonald and
Lisa Hood, playing the roles of John -and Ellen Lloyd, con-
verse on the ride out to the prairie. The play is produced by
Nina Reynolds.
