tion to a good cause.
"For the people who don't want to go
out on the ice, even if they stop by and
make a donation, that's great?' he said.
"We're out to make as much money as
possible for the booster club."
He said the idea for the fundraising
skate came from long-time Pirates spon-
sors Herb and Sherry Marshall.
Bazinet encouraged hockey fans of all
ages to come out and skate, adding they
will have the opportunity to test their shots
against the Pirates' goaltenders.
"We'll have a couple.goalies suited up
so if they want to take some shots at a Pi-
rates goalie they can," he said. "All they
have to d is make a donation."
The skate runs from 8 - 9:30 p.m. at
the MRC, and Bazinet said there will be
plenty of opportunities to get to know this
year's Pirates, as well as alumni and fami-
lies. London Knights tickets and a 50/50
draw will available to one lucky winner as
well.
Bazinet said he hopes to make Skate
with the Pirates an annual event.
