Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Emily,
Colby, Barrett, Davis and Skylar. Also sur-
vived by his sister Madeline Ritchie and by
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
his parents Ernest and Ella (Sowerby) Bogie
and by one brother-in-law Eldon Ritchie. Mel
was born in Colborne Township and was the
fifth generation to farm the family farm until
recently. In 1967 he became an elder for
Knox Presbyterian Church. From 1970 to
1989, Mel operated as an Imperial Oil farm
agent for Goderich and the surrounding area.
Mel joined the Goderich Lions Club in
October 1967. Through the years he held sev-
eral offices and spent countless hours in
Lionism. He received the Helen Keller award,
the Melvin Jones award, the Governors award
and a life membership. During 1990-91 he
was the Governor of District A9. Mei spent
many hours as a volunteer for the Children's
Aid Society and Town and Country. Mel
Deadlines: Friday (a' 2 p.m.
enjoyed hours of fun square dancing with
Clinton Wheel'n'Dealers and round dancing
with Huron Happy Hearts. A Lions Service of
Remembrance to honour Mel's life in Lionism
was held at the Falconer Funeral Home, fol-
lowed by a day of visitation and a funeral
service with Reverend David Nicholson offi-
ciating. Cremation has taken place with inter-
ment later in Colborne Cemetery. As expres-
sions of sympathy the Bogie family asks that
you consider donations to
the Lions Foundation of
Canada Dog Guide
Program or to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
A tree will be planted in
memory of Mel at the
Lions Foundation of
Memorial Forest in

PORTER
With her family by her side at Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital in Goderich
on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, following
a battle with cancer, Renada June Porter of
Goderich Township in her 58th year. Renada
was the daughter of the late Richard (2001)
and June (1997) (McDougall) Porter. Dear
sister of Dwight Porter and his wife Norma
and Darwin Porter, all of Goderich
Township. Predeceased by her brother
Beverly (1988). The funeral service was
held at Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. -
Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Drive
East, Goderich (519-524-1221) on Thursday,
September 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Mary
Jane Bisset of Kncx Presbyterian Church
officiating. Visitation was held one hour
prior to service time. Interment Maitland
Cemetery, Goderich. As expressions of
sympathy, the family would appreciate
memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer

CUTT
Keith Crawford Cutt of Goderich passed
away peacefully at his residence on Saturday,
September 19, 2009 in his 92nd year. Keith
was predeceased by his beloved wife Agnes
on August 3, 2005. He is survived by his three
children, Pat Willmore of Stratford, Lynda
(Gary) Chambers of Goderich and Ken (Dawn
Parker), also of Goderich. Also survived by
four grandchildren, Terry (Chantel) Chambers
of Whitby, Eric (Maggie) Willmore of
Thunder Bay, Tammy Beange of Goderich
and Kathy (Eric) Willmore/Steinman of
Stratford; and seven great-grandchildren,
Ethan, Liam and Kate Willmore, Carter and
Caden Beange, Max Steinman and Alyssa Da
Costa -Chambers. Predeceased by grandson
Keith Willmore in infancy. Also predeceased
by his parents, Calvin and Catherine Cutt,
brothers Ken and Jack and sister Catherine
Neil. Friends were received at McCallum &
Palia Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St.,
Goderich, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009
from 2-4. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service
was held at the funeral home on Wednesday,
September 23 at 2 p.m. Mary Jane Bisset
officiated. Pallbearers were Eric Steinman,
Eric Willmore, Ian Parker, Terry Chambers,
Mike Cutt and Dustin Cutt. .Interment
Maitland Cemetery. Maitland Lodge #33
A.F.&A.M. held a service at the funeral home
on Tuesday evening. Donations to the Heart
& Stroke Foundation gratefully acknowl-

SKELTON
Ron Skelton, born 1931 in St. Marys, passed
away suddenly September 22, 2009, in the
loving arms of his wife Cindy (Edmonton),
brother Bob and sister-in-law Linda (Embro).
Survived by his mother, Muriel, Goderich;
brother Fred (Shirley), London; sister Sylvia
(Clare) Harman, Goderich; sons Paul (grand-
daughter Sarah) of Edmonton and Kent of
Vancouver; ex-wife Marilyn of Edmonton;
and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,
great-nephews and nieces, both in Ontario
and Alberta where Ron lived since early
1970's. Predeceased by his son Frank in 1986
and father Frank in 1979. —40x
