Wallace wins men's Stableford at Maitland

On Monday, September 7, the Maitland
Men's League held their annual Men's Sta-
bleford Tournament. The winners were:
First, Roy Wallace with 43 points; second,
Don Armstrong, 41.5 pts.; third, Nathan
Daer, 40.5 pts.; fourth, Dennis Koehler
38.5 pts.; fifth, Duncan MacPherson, 38.5
pts.; sixth, Brian Hesse.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 64 players took
to the course on Senior League Day. The
winners were:
Flight A - Bill Brown and Jack Trebish,
Flight B - Toni Rajnovich, Flight C - Don

Hunter, Flight E - Rod Culp, Flight F -
Ken Armstrong. Closest to the pin on No.

Bridge club relocates to Goderich Legion
The Goderich Duplicate Bridge Five tables played for an average of 36 points.
Club is now playing at the Goderich 54 points. On August 25, three and a half
Legion every Tuesday at 1 p.m. On August 18, the teams of Betty tables were played for an average
August 11 winners were Pat and Fisher and Charles Roger and Rick of 24 point.
Jim Martell with 68.5 points; Elea- Marshall and Rudy Oetlike tied at Leading the way were Mary

Shuffleboard all done for another season
. It is with sadness that we come to the end of another
year of enjoyable shuffling.
The season ended September 8 with a banquet host-
ed by the club held at the Maitland Lounge.
Turkey and roast beef were enjoyed by the 69 peo-
ple in attendance.
We all look forward to next year's games and hope
to manage a few wins and enjoy the social aspect of it
as well. Our equipment has been put in storage for the
coming winter arid will be brought out in the spring,
hopefully for another great year at the Memorial Are-
na.
A special thank -you to the many sponsors who have
supported us over the past season.
Three -game winners for Sept. 1 were Brian John-
son, Marie Weeks and Al Weeks.
Boston Pizza winners were Jim Howard, John Pye
and Bernice Moore.
Everyone also enjoyed a social time at the day's end
with incredible cookies.
Sponsors were Lyons and Mulhern Insurance.
UP AND COMING
The Goderich Youth Dart League is starting up Sept. 21 at the Goder- •
ich Legion. Youth age 11-18 are welcome to come out every Monday
night at 7 p.m. The season culminates with the Legion zone and dis-
trict finals, followed by the Ontario zone and district finals.
The GDCI Vikings girls basketball team hosts Mitchell
today at 2:30 p.m. The Vikes went undefeated at a tourna-
ment at South Huron District High School this weekend.

accepted at the office as well as post-dated cheques for your convenience.
Telephone/interne banking is available through most major bank institutions.
Pre -authorized payment is available by completing a form from the office
and providing a VOID cheque. After hour payments may be left in the
letter slot located at the front door.
Taxes not paid by the due date are subject to interest of 1.25% per month.
