up unbeaten. pre -season
The Huron Perth Lakers 'AAA' Major
Midget team completed their brief pre-
season Exhibition Schedule on Sunday

4-4 tie with the Kitchener Jr Rangers.
On Saturday the Lakers played host to
Waterloo and after spotting them an
early two -goal lead, scored five goals
in the second period en route to a 7-3
win.
To complete the schedule, the Lakers
were home to Kitchener on Sunday af-
ternoon and skated off with a 3-0 victo-
ry, recording their second shutout win
of the pre -season.
The Lakers will now focus on prepa-
ration for their home and season opener
on Sept. 25 versus the Chatham -Kent

Ringers in the , rink
The Maitland Recreation Centre played host to a ringette clinic this summer, offering kids from across
Huron County the chance to keep up their skills over the off-season. About 25 players from Mitchell,
Seaforth and Goderich were divided into teams each week, and coach Todd Stanbury said the idea
came from parents and players who wanted to continue over the summer. Clockwise from left:
Amanda Menchenton, Bobby McLachlan and Lauren Erb.
