The US tourist was just one of many who flocked to Goderich this past weekend to take in the sights and sounds of the fourth an- nual West Coast Bluesfest. This year, the annual soulful of- fering tried on another outfit in an attempt to recapture the wild suc- cesses of previous installments, including the first event in 2006, which welcomed nearly 1,000 people. With a six -stop walkabout on Friday and an intimate tent con- cert on Saturday, this WCB was unlike any before. "I'd say this was the best yet," said WCB committee president John Harrison, though he added each one was a great success. Figures had yet to be tallied on holiday Monday, but Harrison conservatively figured more than 400 people got into the groove of the Walkabout blues on Friday, and about 350 packed into the Big Event Saturday. "All in all, it was a huge suc- cess," he said. "It was everything we hoped it would be and more, with beautiful weather and a full moon."
