years. Dear father of
Angie Rivett and Kathy Rivett (Jim Marseilles);
sister-in-law Bev Cooke (George Yeo). Uncle
of Rob and Dave Cooke. Predeceased by his
parents Leonard Rivett and Helen (Chase)
Rivett. Fondly remembered by many uncles
and aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation took

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 held a
service on Sunday at 4 p.m. Funeral service
was held at St. George's Anglican Church,
Goderich on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2
p.m. The Rev. Canon Allan Livingstone offici-
ated. Soloist was Evelyn Shand and piper was
Matt Hoy. Pallbearers were John Hoy, Dave
Cooke, George Yeo, Ray Hartin, Gary Johnston,
Rob Cooke, Jim Marseilles, Doug Roulston,
Norm Leddy and Ray Donnelly. Interment
Maitland Cemetery. Donations to the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 109 or the Canadian
Cancer Society gratefully acknowledged.

NESBITT
Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 25,
2009, Murray Nesbitt of Blyth in his 58th year.
Beloved husband of Connie Nesbitt. Loving
father of Jeff and Michelle Nesbitt of Blyth
and Cathy and Don Timmons of New Hamburg.
Cherished grandfather of Josilin, Kaila, Luke,
Marissa and Brody. Sadly missed by his
mother Florence Nesbitt of Seaforth and his
mother-in-law Jean Nethery. Dear brother and
brother-in-law of Linda Nesbitt and Lloyd
Good of London, Brenda and Jim Kitching of
St. Marys and Maurice and Kathy Nesbitt of
Shedden. Will also be greatly missed by the
Nethery family and many aunts, uncles, nieces
and nephews. Prileceased by his father George
Nesbitt and his father-in-law Alex Nethery.
Murray was a councillor of the Township of
North Huron, and a long-standing member of
the Blyth Lions Club, the Londesborough

Funeral Homes Ltd. - Blyth Visitation Centre,
407 Queen St., Blyth on Friday from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at the
Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth on Saturday,
August 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. Reverend Perry
Chuipka officiated. Memorial services were
held on Friday by the Londesborough Masonic
Lodge A.F. & A.M. #568 at 6:45 p.m. and the
Blyth Lions Club at 9 p.m. Cremation. In
reflection of Murray's commitment to his com-
munity it is requested that memorial donations
be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch
#420 building fund or the Blyth Memorial Hall
Bell Tower Project (cheques made payable to
Township of North Huron - Bell Tower Project).

Benmiller and broth-
er-in-law of Dorothy Fisher of Goderich. Also
survived by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by mom and dad, Mabel and
Fletcher Fisher, brothers Ken and Carl Fisher,
brother-in-law Harold Yeo and sister-in-law
Doris Fisher. He had many hobbies growing
up including hockey, baseball, hunting, trap-
ping and horses. Grant lived on the family
farm until 1979 when he moved to Goderich
Township to continue his farming. He was an
avid gardener until his passing. Grant was
practical, particular and full of wisdom. His
great smile, quick wit and love of life made
him a wonderful brother, uncle, neighbour and
friend, he will be truly missed. Thank- you for
all the cards, flowers and expressions of sym-
pathy. His family would also like to thank all
those who helped out so that Grant could
remain in his own home, his independence was
very important to him. Your support is greatly
appreciated. Friends were received at
McCallum & Palia Funeral Home, Goderich
on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 1:30 p.m.
until 2:30 p.m. Interment followed at Colborne
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Rowe, Jeff
Rowe, Jud Hakkers, Jesse Hakkers, Devon
Josling and Jason Yeo. Donations to the
Alexandra Marine and General Hospital
