Hensall Methodist church on Sundays

and struck a telephone post throw-

On Monday` while Mr. E. Rowcliffe
was drivin1, south on 'Main street'"
with W. J. Stathani's bread wagon,
he was run 'into by Dr. Graham's
auto. Ilii...Rowcliffe started to turn
around in "front of the Ross -Taylor
Co. and looked back to see if anyone
was coming from behind but Glia not

Mr. John Hunter is confined to his
bed, suffering, from a broken collar,

This year three of the Junior. Far-
mers Improvement Associations of
Huron County held Plowing Competi-
tions, The Wingham-and.Exeter span-
netiti•ons were in stubble.. ` The Heree-
ick competition (vas in sod, Eacb.•Con
te.stant plowed _five acres on his own;-
land. Mr. Jas. 'McLean of Richmond
Full, a lerofess oral ploughman :of wide
experience, both in judging, :..and, in
plowing, placed the. awards. He "Was
well pleased with the marked progress,

JOHN LITTLE+ DIES I1.1 LONDON
The iemains of the late John Littl
who, died- in Victoria :Hospital, Lon-
don, on 'Wednesday of last week wee
brought to Exeter and interment wa
made in the Exeter cemetery on Sat-
urday-. Mr. Little was the victim o
an accident on October 17th. While
working in a bush near Lucan Mr.
Little stumbled and fell and a log he
~vas carrying fell across the abdomen.
He crawled to a house about a mile
distant and medical aid was summon-
ed. The following day he was re-
moved to the hospital at London, and
was getting along nicely until a few
days previous to his death when he
received .a setback fromwhich he
never recovered. He is`.siurvived by
his widow, three sons'and two daugh-
ters all at home. The deceased was
58 years of age and has beena resi-
dent of Exeter for several years. Two
brothers from Owen Sound were -
present at the funeral whichwas con-
ducted under the auspices of the
Orange Order.
