• DUNLOP
The family of the late Brian Dunlop would like
to thank our family and friends for the many
things they helped us with during Brian's
illness and following his death. First, a thank
you to our friends who organized and
participated in the food drive, Youth Dance and
Walk-a-Thon. The funds from these events
helped us in our time of need. Thank you to
Casablanca Ballroom for donating the space
for the youth dance. Thank you to Colborne
School and GDCI for helping and understanding
our family during this time. McCallum and
Palla were wonderful and helpful at a very
difficult time. A special thanks to Trish for
helping us through the process. Thanks and
hugs to everyone who helped, participated and
were part of our Celebration of Brian's life at
the Livery: Alison, Mary, Sheila, Sarah, Mom
(June), Susan, Greg, Bud, Sue, the Silo Guys,
Tim, Andy, the Casablanca girls and Stuart's
classmates deserve a special mention for
making this event run smoothly. It was an
amazing evening that we will always treasure
and remember. For the floral tributes, cards,
food and donations to the Dunlop Children
Education Fund, we thank each and every one
of you. Words cannot express how important
Family and community were and are to Brian
and his Family. The Montgomery family
supplied never ending support, including a
lengthy stay with June while Brian was
undergoing chemotherapy. Brian truly loved
his Goderich family. Brian's sister Susan
provided love and Slushies when Brian needed
to stay in London. I know Brian would have
wanted us to thank Greg B, Greg M, Herb,
John and George for being true friends,
providing constant encouragement and support.
He would also have wanted us to thank his
medical team, 'including Dr. Inculet and Dr.
Noel. We would also like to thank all of our
friends who helped us through this difficult
time (you know who you are!). A special thank
you to sister Sheila and soul sister Alison Bell
for being friends, mothers and shoulders to cry
on. Sarah Hall was also a big part of the
journey. She was big sister, girlfriend and
daughter to us. We know there are many others
that need to be thanked. Please consider this
your thank you. Brian was a good man. We
know he would not want us to mourn forever.
In the words of Eric Clapton, "I must be
strong, and carry on. Cause I know there'll be
no more tears in heaven". -35x
