Congratulations to John Bedour who played
at Forest City National on Wednesday, August
4 in a 'ISson Tour Event. John shot 70 - two
under par - to win the event.
John earlier placed third at the Junior Invita-
tional at Sarnia Golf Club on July 23 where he
shot a 73. John also qualified last week for the
Canadian Optimist Match that is being played
at Ingersoll this week. Good luck John!

Weeks in shuffleboard hall of fame
Goderich's Al Weeks was inducted into the Ontario
4.4000
Shuffleboard Hall of Fame July 22, rit h t before another
big win on the court.
Weeks placed first in the open consolation division of
the Ontario Doubles Tournament, held in Woodstock July
21-23, competing in the open consolation division.
His partner was Ray Hallam of London, formerly of
Goderich, and a past member of
the Goderich Club.
On July 28 the Goderich Me-
morial Arena was busy with a
tournament of its own. The Mini
Singles Tournament marks the
first time this has been tried in
Goderich. It was well received,
and enjoyed by all who entered.
