This position may be extended to include spring and summer employment in 2010. The Travel Counsellors are responsible for a variety of tourism and promotional related activities. Duties will include receiving visitors and answering questions they have in regard to upcoming events, attractions and accommodations, highlighting travel routes and providing pertinent reference materials to each visitor, answering telephone and e-mail inquiries, preparing visitor information packages, as well as other duties related to special events for the Town of Goderich. Weekend and some evening work is required. We are looking for secondary or post -secondary school students who would enjoy dealing with the public on a personal basis and who have excellent communication skills, are outgoing, organized and can work with minimum supervision.
