Well I skipped out on you again. I've been north to Lion's Head for two weeks. I did some writing and started work- ing on my tan. Now, let's get our tea poured and Debbie Bauer 'bottoms -up'. The Christ' Church in Port Albert had their Bake Sale and Bazaar on Sat. July 25. There was a good crowd and I am told the rainy weather didn't hurt the end result one bit. Those events are a lot of work, so congratulations to ev- eryone on a great job. Sympathies are extended to the fam- ily of Grace (Culbert) Black. Grace passed away July 8 in her 91st year. Arrangements were entrusted to Mc- Callum and Palla of Goderich. Our thoughts have been with you during your time of sadness. Colleen Caesar graduated with a B.A. (with • honours) from Wilfred Laurier University. Attending the cer- emony were Colleen's friend Patrick, parents David and Virginia as well as sister Mallory. Colleen will be attend- ing Lakehead University in Thunder Bay in September for her Bachelor of Education. Leonard and Olive Chisholm have sold their home on main street in Dun- gannon. The couple have lived in the village for 39 years and are now moved to Goderich. New owners of the Chish- olm home are Trevor and Alicia Askes. Welcome to the village. Joan and Shag Campbell attended the Embro Highland Games earlier this month. They enjoyed the tug-of-war and Massed Pipe Band performance. Shag also attended the Kincardine Highland games. Next thing we know, Shag will be wearing a kilt. But we all love all things Scottish, so you go for it Shag. A belated congratula- tions to Leonard and Ol- ive Chisholm celebrated their 54th wedding an- niversary on July 2 and a belated happy birthday to Leonard on hi! S2nd birthday July 5. I hope everyone is remembering to visit the Dungannon Farm,!r's Market Saturday mornings. I am to: d there are lots of goodies to be found. The bak- ing and fresh vegetables alone would make it worth the trip, but there is so much more. Recently in euchre: white card Tom Young won with 75, Clarence Allin was second with 73. Pink card Jane Glousher won with 74 and second was Jewel Plunkett with 68. Doug Harr i s earned three lone hands. White card Alex Nivens was first with 75 and tied for second were Dave Sproul and John Andrews with 69. Pink card .winner was Doug Harris with 74 and Jean Err- ington with 71. Rieta Harris was suc- cessful on five lone hands. While away for my 1 wo weeks in Lion's Head, I did manage to get some writing done. On the last day, (and I am very grateful' it was the last day) my laptop froze on me creating no end to the frustration and extended vo- cabulary. One phone call to computer wiz -kid friend Pete Seeger and he had it fixed up and ready to go without los- ing a single verb. Myself and my yet -to -be -discovered publisher both thank Pete . from the bottom of our semi -colon. Well that's it for another couple of weeks. Reverend Roy Nicol -Macdonald will be the Guest Minister. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Cemetery Mausoleum. Please bring your own lawn chair.
