Goderich's U16 soccer tournament came to an explosive finale with

final, boys to wup July 30
St olumban 5-0, Blyth 8-0, and
Wingham 4-0. Runners-up Clinton
also took their three matches, beat-
ing Wingham 4-0, Lucknow 5-2,
and St Columban 3-2.
The boys tournament will contin-
ue this week with matches tonight
at the Rotary Field, the high school
track, and the GDCI soccer field,
and will conclude with a champi-
onship game tomorrow, July 30, at
Agricultural Park. All games kick-
off at 7 p.m.
Goderich's soccer pitches played
host to the U16 girls soccer tour-
nament last week, and Blyth took
home top honours with their win
over Clinton in the final game.
Goderich was able to put a couple
impressive wins in early in the tour-
nament, beating Lucknow 9-2 on
Monday night and triumphing over
Wingham 4-0, but their drive for the
final was cut short by a 2-0 loss to St.
Columban.
Winner Blyth took .all three of
their round-robin games, beating
