DUNLOP
Brian Hays Dunlop, of Safford, passed away
suddenly on July 11, 2009 at the London
Health Sciences Centre, in his 56th year. Brian
leaves behind his wife, Valerie Montgomery -
Dunlop and children Stuart and Emma Dunlop.
He is also survived by his sister, Susan Prest of
London, Ontario. Brian was predeceased by
his parents Roy and Marjorie (Hays) Dunlop
and sister Deb Dunlop. Brian was born in
Toronto but spent most of his childhood sunk.

family moved to Goderich where Brian attend-
ed GDCI. After high school, Brian lived in
Europe, Mexico and British Columbia, finally
settling in Toronto for many years. Brian had
his own renovating business and eventually
moved back to the family cottage. During this
visit, he met his future wife, Valerie and per -
manently returned to the area. Brian was a
talented wood -worker, musician, and "jack of
all trades". He spent many hours volunteering
for , his children's school and helped build/
design many of Colborne School's award win-
ning parade floats. He attended countless base-
ball games, dance, voice and acting recitals,
and was a very proud and supportive father.
Brian fought and beat cancer in 1999. When it
returned, this year, Brian fought a fierce battle,
never complaining and remaining positive
throughout the journey. He spent -the lastfew
hours of his life visiting with his family under
a tree and listening to his daughter sing for
him. A private family viewing was held at
McCallum & Palla Funeral Home. Cremation
has taken place as per Brian's wishes. A cele-
bration of life will be held at The Livery on
South Street in Goderich on July 24, 2009.
Special performance to start at 7 p.m. followed
by a social hour. Donations to the Dunlop
Children's Education Fund gratefully acknowl-
edged and may be arranged through McCallum
& Palla Funeral Home 519-524-7345. He was
a good man. He will be missed. —30ar
DAVIS, "BUTCH" HAROLD
It is with great sadness that we announce the
death of Butch on July 9, 2009. He passed
away at home surrounded by his family after a
courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his
wife Sue,, children Angela (Joe) Atkinson,
Brenda (Brian) Stewart, Natalie Davis, John
Davis, Tim Davis, Angie'(Darrili) Car roil, and
Amy Feuillatre. Lovingly remembered by 10
grandchildren. Brother of Muriel (Bill) Vickers,
Alma (Jack) MacDonald, Adene (Harry) Lowe,
Olive (Adriean) White, and Bill (Lil) Davis.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and
nephews along with his best friend Dave
Bicknell. Predeceased by his parents Thomas

passing of our mother Clara Klages at Georgian
Heights Nursing Home on Wednesday, July
15, 2009. Clara Klages (nee Spencer) of R.R.
#4 Chesley in her 89th year. She was the
beloved wife of Harvey Klages for 68 years.

Palmerston, Raymond Klages and his wife

was a wonderful grandmother to nine
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service was
conducted at Faith Lutheran Church in
Desboro, on Saturday, July 18 at 2 p.m. with
visitation at the church 1 hour prior to service
time from 1-2 p.m. Reverend Brian Dunlop
officiating. Interment Faith Lutheran Cemetery.

At Alexandra Marine and General Hospital,
Goderich on Friday, July 17, 2009, Mr. Kenneth
Arthur "Barry" Jacklin of Goderich in his 77th
year. Beloved companion of the late Barbara
Ann (Becker) Kent (2001). Dear father of the
late Kendra Vander Hout and her husband Bill
Vander Hout of St. Jacobs. Sadly missed by his
granddaughters Melissa and Sarah. Dear
brother and brother-in-law of Leslie and Mabel
Jacklin of Wingham, Joyce O'Connell of
Thunder Bay, Don Jacklin of Kitchener,
Leonard and Ully Jacklin of Regina and Glen
Jacklin of Owen Sound. Also survived by
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister
Mary Craig. In keeping with Kenneth's wishes
there will be no funeral home visitation or
funeral service. Cremation with interment of
ashes in Cassel Evangelical Cemetery at a later
