Despite a switch in hands and
focus, a K-9 Kitty Kennels, soon
to be known as Milsean Bou -
viers, will still be a place for pet
owners to drop off their cats and
dogs to be cared for.
Pat and Peter Ringler, who
raise Bouviers des Flanders, a
type of hypo -allergenic • dogs,
will be taking over the center,
and continue to offer the board-
ing and care that has made the
business a success thus far.
"The boarding will remain,"
Peter explained. "And we're
looking at expanding into pet -
sitting within a home, house
sitting, pet grooming, and do-it-
yourself grooming."
Barb Potter, the current owner
and operator of the dog and cat
boarding, and cat rescue and
adoption centre South of God-
erich on Porters Hill Line, ex-
plained that . the choice to sell
was awhile in actualization, but
she had to find the right people.
"Pat and Peter are good peo-
ple, I've had other people look
at buying, but these two are just
true dog breeders," Potter ex-
plained.
THe business will change
over seamlessly, according to
the new and old owners; with no
downtime. The official date for
the transfer was July 19.
Bouviers des Flanders are
unique dogs, and not just in their
hypo -allergenic properties.
"They were originally an
all-purpose farm dog," Pat ex-
plained. "They'd do anything
from herding to baby-sitting."
The breed originated in the
France, Belgium, Holland area,
and their coats are made of hair,
not fur, which is why dog al-
lergies shouldn't be agitated by
them.

Bouviers des Flanders (like the one shown here)
will be the cornerstone of
Milsean Bouviers, a new
business that recently
opened south of Goderich.
tabase is the base of the new
operation, according to the
Ringlers, and they hope to grow
their business from there.
The Ringlers are from outside
of Hamilton, and Peter recently
retired, leaving them with some
time on their hands.
"We're just not city people,"
Peter explained. "We wanted to
get out of the city, the population
just keeps growing. We wanted to
find a work from home business
that works with our passions."
The cat rescue and adoption
that K-9 Kitty Kennels runs will
no longer be continued, leaving
Potter with some animals still in
need of a home. Anyone interest-
ed
nterested in providing a loving home for
one of the rescued animals can
contact her at 519-4824500.

From engines, tools, crops and cattle,
Keep your truck on the road
Your ass in the saddle.
Near in our hearts, yet so ar away
You're thought of each and every day
When we pick up truck parts left in our way.
So, it's Happy 24th Birthday we all want to say.
