Members of the Ducharme • family were on hand Friday evening to throw out the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Goderich-Stratford A Division game. Greg and Laurie Dewinter, Terry Ducharme and Kevin Priebe helped young players, Reagan and Jared DeWinter and Griffin and Damien Priebe throw out the first ball. Listowel won the tournament defeating Bolton in the final. Listowel sweeps annual Ducharme tournament Dave Sykes signal -star staff The Listowel Legionaire Peewees racked up five straight victories to claim the tournament championship at the Ray Ducharme Annual Peewee Baseball Tournament played over three days here at Agriculture Park on the weekend. Listowel claimed the championship, defeating Bolton 17-11 in the tourna- ment final Sunday afternoon. They reached the tournament championship game with a 16-2 whipping of Strat- ford Majors in semi-final action ear- lier in the day. Listowel easily worked through its division in the round robin portion of the tournament, defeating Forest Glen of Mississauga, Lucan and Stratford in C Division play to gain a berth in the semi-final Sunday. Bolton reached the final with three straight wins in the B Division. They defeated Clinton, Saugeen of Port Elgin and EBBA London and then clinched a spot in the tournament championship game with a 5-2 victory over London See GOOERICH, Page 27
