JIM MARTIN
Passed away one
year ago, July 4,
2008.
He came and took
you silently,
One morning just
after dawn,
And left behind an
emptiness,
With tears that just
flow on.
Our days have been so lonely,
Hidden tears will always fall,
Thinking back to the memories,
Of how you loved us all.
We did not get to say goodbye,
But stood and held your hand,
While God took your kind and gentle soul,
Up to his heavenly land.
You've touched so many people,
In your special kind of way,
Family, friends and others,
Each and every day.
Our lifetime full of love together,
Will not come to an end,
For we will keep you in our hearts,
Until we meet again.
We miss you Martin every day. Love Dorothy,
Patty, Cooker, Lucas, Kelly, Cindy, John Paul,
Megan, Chad, Mallory, Stephen and Gail.

LARDER
In loving memory of a dear mother, grandmother
and great-grandmother, Vera, who went to her
Heavenly home July 13, 1990.
Nineteen years since you've been gone,
So many changes as 1 look around,
Your house no more the same 1 see,
But it still brings memories back to me.
Memories of the love you gave to all,
As you made your house a loving home,
A welcome place to eat or rest,
You always did your very best.
Missed and ever remembered with love,
Eugenia, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

JEFFREY
In loving memory of Rick, who passed away
July 8, 2006.
As angels keep their watch up there,
Please God let Rick know,
That We down here, did not forget,
We love and miss him so,
You will always be with us.
Always loved and remembered by Mike and
Marilyn. —28x
JEFFERY
In loving memory of our loving husband,
father and Pa, Rick, who suddenly left us three
years ago on July 8th.
This month comes back with sad regrets,
It brings back a day we will never forget,
You were taken away without saying goodbye,
But our memories of you will never die.
We miss you more than anyone knows,
As each day passes the emptiness grows,
The tears we shed, we can wipe away,
But the pain in our hearts will always stay.
No one knows the grief we bear,
When the family meets and you're not there,
You left us suddenly, your thoughts unknown,
But you left us memories we're proud to own.
We love you and miss you deeply! Your
Family. —28c

For those of you keep-
ing track of my comings
and goings you would
have missed me the past
couple of weeks. I have
had a trip to P.E.I., Nova Scotia and
Cape Breton. It was lovely. I attended
a National Women's Institute conven-
tion in Charlottetown the first week. I
was amazed to see how all our Institute
efforts come together to make such a
difference both here at home and glob-
ally. We have a new list of concerns
and we will be pressing government
for change in several key areas. We
also learned that P.E.I. actually stands
for Pothole Every Inch (a joke the bus
drivers use regularly).
The second week we traveled the
scenic Cabot Trail and on into Nova
Scotia where we were able to tour our
nautical national treasure, the Blue-
nose, finishing up in New Brunswick
and a walk on the ocean floor explor-
ing the Hopewell rock formations.
Upon our return home we learned
of a downward turn in the health of
my dearest cousin, Janie Strangway.
Janie has fought valiantly against can-
cer since August of last year but in the
evening hours of Saturday, July 4 at
her summer home in Dyer's Bay sur-
rounded by her family, she surrendered
and passed away peacefully, leaving
all those who knew her to mourn her
passing.
Janie lived and raised her two daugh-
ters in Seaforth. For several years and
until her illness, Janie worked as a
teacher at the G.D.C.I. and many in the
Goderich area will be saddened by her
passing.
Debbie Bauer
Janie leaves behind
her two daughters, Lau-
ra and Robyn, both of
Wiarton, her mother,
Annie (McLay) Bar-
tley of Dyer's Bay, one sister Eliza-
beth (Lee) and John Crossly of New
Brunswick, a brother Allan and Lorie
(Root) of Ottawa, sisters-in-law Diane
(Doug) McLellan of Mount Forest and
Donna (Glen) Dougan of Markham, six
nieces and nephews as well as many
aunts, uncles and cousins. Janie is pre-
deceased by her husband John and her
father Elmer Bartley.
I will miss her very much.
I have little else to share with you
this week. I would however like to re-
mind everyone of the Farmer's Market
in Dungannon each Saturday morning.
New vendors would also be welcomed
I'm sure. Call Lynda McNee.
