Rev'n in 11 fundraising breakfast to be held on July 5
Diane Maize has been getting a won-
derful turnout at her Thursday afternoon
Kids Korner held at Christ Church. On
Thursday, June 18th the Kids Korner
group met on the beach with Gwen Do-
herty to put up the new lifesaving ring.
They also helped Gwen clean up some
of the garbage that seems to be always
left behind. The kids were great and
hopefully will help educate family and
friends the importance of keeping our
beach clean.
The lifesaving ring was purchased
with money raised at the store. Thank
you to Kelly and Joe for encouraging
the donations and to Gwen Doherty for
raising the awareness, organizing the
funds and replacing the ring. It would
have been a sad thing if we had waited
until it was needed before realizing the
importance of having the ring on the
beach.
The Port Albert Citizens Association
held its' annual meeting Saturday June
20th. There were many interesting dis-
cussions including water quality and
testing, water erosion, a report from the
Reeve, and update from the Rev'n in 11
Committee. The Association has en-
dorsed their support to the Committee
and have offered
to help financially.
Association mem-
