With a staff of 33 people, Ken said Mc- Gee Motors is one employer within God- erich that continues to provide security for employees and their families. "This is another little industry in this town," Ken said. He is very proud of the employees at the dealership, and the service they provide to Goderich and beyond. That customer service is absolutely criti- cal in maintaining the trust and business of the community they call home, he said. By going the extra mile, McGee Motors has set itself apart from many GM dealerships that are facing closure as the automaker faces the fate of the economic times. People remember good service, and the amount of repeat business, either sales or service, keeps the Goderich dealership flow- ing with customers. Alvin gave an example from his early days, when selling a vehicle often meant driving it out to the customer's house. Sent out on a prank sales call, Alvin re- called stopping by a farm with a truck only to Lind there was no driveway, no road and that the farmer had clearly been using a horse and buggy. Regardless of the changes to technology, products or even the industry itself, Ken said McGee Motors will always be a place where business is more than just dollars and cents. "Today, even though we have to sell more cars and trucks, there is still a' place for person-to-person contact and customer loyalty," he said. That personal touch is one that will con- tinue to set McGee Motors apart as not just a place to buy cars, but a place to feel like one of the family for generations to come. Insist on...
