ZIEGLER, NORMAN ALBERT (ZIGGY)
At Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital
on Tuesday, June
16, 2009 in his
67th year.
Norman was
born in
Kitchener, ON,
and later moved
to Preston where
he did most of
his growing up.
Son of the late
Harry and Minnie
Ziegler and survived by
one sister and her .
husband of Goderich. In 1977 he met his
future wife Anne (Cooke) and took on the role
of his lifetime - devoted husband, best friend
and partner. In the year 1985, when struck
down with heart disease, their life together
took a dramatic change when he was forced
into early retirement. This turn of events took
them in a different direction and they pulled up
stakes and moved to Trenton where Norm
enjoyed his passion of camping, boating and
fishing in the Bay of Quinte. Here he lived
until a camping trip to Lake Huron and eventu-
ally moved there to Meneset on the Lake. Here
Norm spent his last 11 years defying all odds
for a long term survival, astounding all doctors
he met. Also left to mourn are his beloved Katy
and Sara - the walks just won't be the same. At
Norm's request there will be no funeral home
visitation. Cremation has taken place. A gath-
ering to celebrate Norm's life will be held at a
later date. Donations to Alexandra Marine &
General Hospital Foundation gratefully
acknowledged and may be arranged through
McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, 519-524-
7345. Friends may sign the book of condo-
lences at www.mccallumpalla.ca. Gone - but
not forgotten. —26ar
