Huron County's Habitat
group continues to raise the bar
for the non-profit organization,
achieving one new home built
every year and looking to the
possibility of two builds annu-

"Numerous affiliates don't

Huron Business Develop-

Pam Stanley offered her thanks
to the Habitat group, saying
they "brought another dimen-
sion to Duron County."
Goderich Councillor Myles
Murdock said HHHC fills in
the gaps in the community
where government organiza-
tions fall short.
"Local governments cover
the basics of life, but it's the
quality of life that matters," he
said. "Organizations like this
really improve that."
Morrison offered 'his thanks
to the municipalities of Goder-
ich and Central Huron for their
support and cooperation. He
also expressed his gratitude for
the hours put in by the Willing

and garages to the new Re -

Lobb asks riding to fly Canada's
colours for patriotism campaign
Residents in the riding of
Huron -Bruce are being asked
to participate in a Proud to be
Canadian Campaign launched
through the office of Conser-
vative MP Ben Lobb.
Households in the riding
received a notice in the mail
from Lobb, asking residents
to participate in a campaign
_.that would have them display a
paper Canadian flag on and leading up
to Canada Day, demonstrating that this
riding is the most patriotic in Canada.
As part of the campaign, Lobb has
asked that each household display the 4
" X 8" flag to show our pride in Canada
and give the riding the recognition it
deserves.
Several of Lobb's colleagues in the
House of Commons are hosting similar
campaigns in their riding and will doc-
ument the success, based on the number
of flags displayed on Canada Day.
The winner will be granted the unof-
ficial title of "Most Patriotic Riding in
Canada."
To participate, residents must
place the flag in a window or
door where itis visible and fill
out a reply card notifying Lobb's
constituency office of their par-
ticipation.
Each year, and for` many years,
the Goderich Signal -Star with
MP Ben Lobb_ the help of many of its commu-
nity -minded advertisers, have
published a Canadian flag in the paper,
that has been proudly displayed in win-
dows across town and the surrounding
area.
That flag, appears in" this week's edi-
tion of the Signal -Star and all proud Ca-
nadians are urged to display both flags
in the time leading up to Canada Day.
Residents should be proud to display
this country's flag around 'our national
holiday and demonstrate the patriotic
'spirit that is evident in this riding by
displaying the Proud to be Canadian
version.
Happy Canada Day!
