ment rounded off on Sunday, the
Goderich Seahawks may not have
won, but they weren't defeated.
According to coach Steve He-
witt, the team has grown leaps
and bounds since the season be-
gan, and given just another cou-
ple months, he said they could
have taken the tournament.
"We have been learning a lot
this year, and I'm so happy with
how much these kids are improv-
ing," Hewitt said of his jump from
jr. rookie to sr. rookie coaching.
The Seahawks played three
games saturday, and it was a close
finish during the first two against
Mitchell and Georgina, Hewitt
said. But, after one minor hand
injury and an unlucky case of the
flu, the boys were shut out at the
end of their final game.
In the end, two Guelph teams
went head to head on one dia-
mond, and Listowel fell to Geor-
gina in the bronze -medal round.
