ed over and visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Mallett on Sunday.
Mrs. Ransom, who has been visit-
ing her parents, Mr. and, Mrs. W. 3.
Bissett for a few weeks, left Satur-
day for her home in North Bay.
Mr. H. W. Doe-rr, Supt. of the Pub-
lic Utilities Corn., accompanied by
Mrs. Doerr and son, are holidaying
for a couple of weeks in Kitchener.
Mrs. Chester P. Harvey was taken
to London hospital Sunday afternoon
owing to illness. Her many friends
in town 'will hope for her speedy re-
covery. Latest reports state she is
getting along nicely.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spackman visit-
ed in town last week and were accom-
panied home by Mrs, Fowell. The
latter's sister, Mrs, E. J. Spackman
is on the sick list. ..
Rev. M. J. and Mrs. -Wilson motor-
ed to Guelph and Hamilton last week
to visit for a few days. They are
leaving Guelph this: week on a motor
trip to Ottawa and 1000 Islands.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Southcott and
two children, of Santa Monica, Cal,,
.arrived last Friday and are visiting
at Grand Bend. They called on
friends in Exeter on -Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Coates, of Det
roit, who have been holidaying with
relatives in this vicinity returned to
their home this week.' Messrs. 'rhos.'

of town. Mr. Hoskin has been on
the Chicago police -force for the past

honorable discharge,
