AN EXPLANATION of the purpose and effect of the by-law, describing the lands to which the by-law applies is provided below. DATED at the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, this 27th day of May, 2009. Linda Andrew, Deputy Clerk Township of Ashfleld-Colborne-Wawanosh R. R. #5, GODERICH, Ontario N7A 3Y2 (519) 524-4669 PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The amendment applies to all of the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning by-law amendment is to reduce the Minimum Distance Separation (MDS) requirements for new homes on existing lots of record and existing natural environment lots. Since the passing of the Official Plan in 2003, provincial changes to the MDS formulae have increased the MDS requirements. The proposed zoning by-law amendment returns the minimum distance separation requirements to approximately the pa same distance as was required at the time the Official Plan was and is consistent with provincial guidelines. This By-law amends Zoning By-law 32-2009.
