Forbidden Ride a success with 130 bikes
From Shakespeare to Goderich,
more than 130 motorcycles took
part in Saturday's Forbidden Ride
for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hu-

and passengers picked up their maps
and information for the self-selected
routes from Shakespeare in Perth
County to the communities of Huron
County. More than 200 participants
registered and a preliminary review
showed travellers came from Lon-
don, the Waterloo Region, Huron
and Perth Counties along with riders
from Oxford, Bruce and Grey Coun-
ties.
The event was the launch of the
new Ride the Counties brochure and
Web site, a motorcycle touring pro-
gram created by the Perth County
Visitors Association and the Huron
County tourism alliance of the plan-
ning and development department
and the Huron Tourism Association.
Eleven communities joined in to wel-
come the riders: Shakespeare, Strat-
ford, St. Marys, Listowel, Millbank
and Mitchell in Perth County and
Wingham, Exeter, Seaforth, Clinton
and Goderich in Huron County.
The Saturday evening highlight
was dinner at the Cove Beach in
Goderich, with a catered pork dinner,
prizes and entertainment.

Alzheimer's to host aging seminar
The Alzheimer Society of Huron Coun-
ty will soon present an information night
titled Aging with Grace.
This seminar will help you to learn to
help the people who have helped you all
your life. It will also offer you valuable in-
formation around the financial, legal and
physical implications of aging. We will
provide youwith a framework for prepar-
ing to aid in the caring of aging parents
while maintaining your own quality of life
including practical guides for those crucial
conversations.
