Lions. Club member Ken Hunter held up
a nice set of jugs as Alvin McGee urged just
one more dollar out of bidders at Saturday's
10th annual Lion Club Bike Auction.
The items were just one lot of more than
100 items on the up for bid at the event,
which raised $1,813 to benefit the Easter
Seals campaign.
"It's a neat schtick for the Lions Club,
police and community," said member Scott
MacEwan after the auction ended. "It works
out all the way around."

"It's so funny because Lions Club guys
love to bid, and in the end, they end up trad-
ing stuff back and forth every year," said
MacEwan. "Some items have been through
the auction there two or three times ... It's a
good morning, and a good fundraiser. If you
can pick up close to a grand out of found
items, it's worthwhile."
