Beloved husband for 64 years of the late Beth (Elliott) Dutton (July 2006). Dear uncle of Stanley Dutton, Ronald Dutton, Neil Hannam and Gillian Howlett, all of England, Christopher Duncan and Neil Duncan, both of Australia, DeWayne Elliott of Mississauga, Lawrence Elliott of Toronto and Gaye Rodvold of Minnesota. Predeceased by his siblings, Agnes, Hilda, Noel, Annie and Ethel and a niece Olive and nephew Joseph, all of England. Arthur arrived in Port Albert from England with the Royal Air Force. Arthur and Beth retired to Bayfield in 1978 after many years of owning the general store in Brucefield. Arthur was presented with a certificate of long standing membership by the Varna Orange Lodge #1035. At Arthur's request cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Interment I3aird's Cemetery, Stanley Twp. Memorial donations to the Trinity Anglican Church, Bayfield or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would he appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Predeceased by loving husband Fred. Cherished mother of Norma Coupland (Bob) of Oakville, David Looker (Chris) of Toronto, and Eleanor Turnbull (Paul) of Clearwater, Florida. Beloved grandmother of Todd and Ryan Clayton, Susan (Tyler) Coultis, Brendan (Leah) Looker and Lindsey (Jeff) La Belle. Great- grandmother of Haley La Belle. Predeceased by sister Margaret Robertson of Montreal. Visitation took place from 2-4 p.m. at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home in Goderich on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Funeral service was held at North Street United Church on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 1 p.m. Reverend Roy Nicol - Macdonald officiated. Pallbearers were Edna's grandchildren. Stothers, formerly of Lucknow, Ontario, died suddenly at his home in Winnipeg on April 29, 2009 in his 80th year. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Marilyn; daughters, Joanne (David) Branton and Susan (Rob) Fedorchuk; sons, Scott (Barb) Stothers and Steven (Monica) Stothers; and nine grandchildren. Steve was born in Essex in 1929 and had four sisters, Agnes, Elizabeth, Kay and Ruth. He was predeceased by his parents and, sisters Kay Whale and Agnes Bradbury. Steve taught for 39 years at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, beginning as Associate Professor and retiring as a Senior Scholar in 1994. He sang in Bison Male Chorus for 25 years and took part in many local organizations. Donations would be greatly appreciated to University of Manitoba's S.C. Stothers Award in Animal Science - for it 4th year student with the highest grade in the Capstone course dealing with issues in animal agriculture. This award began at Steve's request when he retired from the University of Manitoba. Service of remembrance was held at Trinity United Church, Winnipeg on Wednesday, May 6, 2(X)9 at 2 p.m. with private interment later in St. Vital Cemetery.
