Beloved wife of the late Joseph Paul Jackson (1998); loving mother of Kandice Ciok of Creemore, Paula Tiveron of Mississauga, Cynthia Adair of Orangeville and Jody Hardy of Wellesley; wonderful grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with a fourth on the way. Helen served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was honourably discharged from the. rank of Corporal in 1946. She was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and War Medal 1939.1945, Helen will be sadly 'missed by other relatives and friends. • The family received friends et the Dods & McNair Funeral Home & Chapel, 21 First St., Orangeville (519.941-1392) on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service was held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Helen and Joseph Jackson in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. Jack spent over 20 years in local politics, was Reeve of Stanley Township for many years and Warden of Huron County in 1998. Visitation was in the J.M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was conducted at St. Andrew's United Church, Bayfield, on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Charles Love officiating. Interment Bayfield Cemetery followed by time together in Stanley Complex, Varna. A Masonic service under the auspices of Huron Lodge AF & AM #224 was held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in recognition of Jack's valiant fight against cancer.
