On Thursday, April 9, 2009, Paul and Rosemary
welcomed into the world with loving hands
their sixth child, another precious baby girl
named Opal Isolde Pentland. Opal was born in
Clinton, Ontario, weighing in at 8 lbs. 6 oz.,
21-1/2" long. Opal was warmly greeted at
home by her excited siblings, Eugenia, George,
Emma, Isabelle and Queenie. Opal is another
Granddaughter for Barbara Gorman, Yvonne
Pentland, Chris and Barb Burdzy. Paul and
Rosemary would like to thank our midwife
Susan Wilts for another wonderful birth and
her attendants Kendra Wilts • and Valerie
Shortreed for all of their care and support.
Thank yous also go out to both Grandmas for
their help and care of the other children. Last
'lbut not least, Rosemary would like to thank her
loving and caring husband Paul, who makes a
wonderful Daddy. —17x
CUTHBERT /WHITELY
Melissa and Andrew are thrilled to announce
the birth of their beautiful daughter, Chloe
Michelle, born on February 25, 2009 at 5:29
p.m. at Bluewater Health Sarnia, weighing in
at 7 lbs. 12 oz. Proud grandparents are Bill and
'Pat Cuthbert of Sarnia and Bill and Michelle
Whitely of Goderich. Chloe is also welcomed
by great grandparents Dorothy and Ben
Whitely of Goderich and Mary Smith of
Clinton. Welcoming her to the family are many

At this time I would like to sincerely thank the
nurses on first floor for taking excellent care
of me and to Dr. Radan, Dr. Neal, Dr. Lal and
Dr. Appavoo for getting me back on the right
track to recovery. Also to the kitchen staff
trying their very best to please me. Thanks
for the cards, flowers and goodies sent to me,
you all know who you are. You were far too
good to me! To my daughter, daughter-in-law

FARRISH
The family of the late Bower Farrish would like
to express our sincere gratitude for every kind
gesture shown to us at the time of losing our
beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-
grandfather. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to
relatives and friends for the many cards, phone
calls, e-mails, food, flowers, donations and
prayers. We are very thankful for the support.
and care from the volunteer drivers who helped
Bower to make his many trips to London. We are
grateful for the care given by the Community
Care Access Centre, the Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital emergency team of nurses,
paramedics and air ambulance personnel, Dr.
Spacek and Dr. Lal. Thanks also to the London
Health Sciences Centre and the intensive care
team at University Hospital. We will be forever
grateful for the words of comfort we received
from Reverend Roy Nicol -Macdonald of North
Street United Church, Goderich and Reverend
Jeff Hawkins of the Gorrie United Church..
Reverend Jeffs wonderful service was one we
will always remember. Also, much appreciated,
were the Royal Canadian Legion services by
the Goderich and Howick branches and the
Gorrie United Church women for the delicious
lunch they provided at the church following
the service. Thanks also to McCallum & Palia
Funeral Home and Schimanski Visitation
Funeral Home in Gorrie. Your expressions of
sympathy have helped ease our sorrow during
this difficult time. We will be forever grateful.
