Youth Canada Bowlers The Youth Bowlers were knocking the pins over with some great games. Some of the highlight games were by Noah Smith 157, Eric Saunders 139, Theresa Roosemalen 145, Tegan Stuparyk 234,Jonathan Stuparyk 209, Scott Franken 220, Jimmy Murray 136, Mitch- ell Adams 153, Owen Kerr 130, Shane Keddy 276 and 690 triple, Brendan Ritchie 215 and Rickey Fields 312 a new personal best and 100 P.O.A. Nice bowling Rickey! Monday Ladies The Ladies were bowling well on Monday night along with nice games by Alice Koop- mans 225, 217 and 442 double. They have started their play-offs with the Bowling Babes taking an early lead. Tlue-day Seniors The Tuesday Seniors were on top of their games this week with nice bowling done by Duncan Murchison 219, Marie Millian 194, Bill Mathias 155, Milt Ferris 216 and Marcel Richard 232. Meneset• The Meneset League finished up their season this week with the Dick's Tricks team of Dick Taylor, Nuala Clark, Delmar Miller, Maureen Chapelle and Ev Croth winning the play-offs. Highlight games were Bob Croth 231, John Falconer 211, Audrey Black 213, Denyse Du- beault, 202 and Ev Croth 191 and 547 triple. Special Olympics The Special Olympics gang enjoyed some great games by Nick Bowden 180, Sonya Far- rell 190, Alix McNee 149, Richard Arbour 319, Paul Dawson 186, Devin Scott 135, Chris Parks 80, Erik Berg 184, Darryl Tebow 128, Aleshia Farrell 166, Tina Hessels 172 and Aar- on Nichol -McDonald 176. Tuesday Mixed The Tuesday Mixed League are rolling along in their play-offs with the Pokeys in the lead. Highlight games were by Kevin Willis 281, Stephen Wragg 189, Ray Raidt 256 and Steve Jessop 252. Thursday Seniors The Thursday Seniors are in the middle of their play-offs with the Blue Division leaders being the Ducks. In the Orange Division the Jay Birds are in top spot and in the Green Divi- sion the Larks are in first place. Some of the highlight games are Theo Van Der Korput 202, Bruce Rundle 254, Nan McFarlane 163,Mar- ian Millar 182, Jack Blay 213 and Ron Klages 257, 254 and 717 triple. Thursday Men The play-offs are seeing the Thursday Men's League trying for every pin to make a move on the boards. The Dirty Dogs are presently in the lead with the Pin Crushers following in sec- ond spot. Some of the Men's highlight games Schedule ready for Sailors' volleyball The Goderich Junior 'C' Sailors are once again trading their skates for bare feet this April, host- ing their sec- r t� and annual indoor beach volleyball tournament atr ` the Memorial as a three -on -three com- petitive division and of course, one for the beach bums. Tonight Little Bowl is holding their first annual Marj Moore Invitational. The event is being held in honour of long-time, devoted Little Bowl league member Marj Moore, who passed away this past year. The league bowlers that have been invited to to- night's competition, have had at least 100 pins over their aver- age or made it on the honour roll this season to be eligible. There is a silent auc- tion table set up for anyone to bid on the sports items, with all the proceeds go- ing to the local Kid's Booster Club. This is intended to be an enjoyable night of bowling, just the way Marj would have liked it. • Goderich Minor Hockey Inc is holding TRYOUTS FOR A PEEWEE A/BB GIRLS HOCKEY TEAM GODERICH for the 2009-2010 season. The intent is for the team to play in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League.
