Beloved husband of Helen (Irwin) Farrish. Dear father of Ken (Sharon) of Delta, B.C., Jim (Suzanne) of Goderich, and Ron (Laura). of Delta, B.C. Loving grandfather of Jayne (Nathan) Daer, Ryan (Lisa) Farrish, Misti (Jamie) Askew, Brendan Farrish (Alana), Hailey Farrish and great-grandfather of Kate Askew and Tessa Farrish. Brother of Jasper (Cheri) of Gorrie, Maxine (George) Adams of Brussels, Millie Leader of Wingham, Johnstone (Jo Ann) of Kelowna, B.C. Also survived by brother-in-law Don Irwin of Carleton Place. Predeceased by brother-in-law Don Leader and sister-in-law Marie Irwin. Born April 21, 1926 to Hilda and Elmer Farrish. Bower was the second child as Jasper was the oldest. He was predeceased by a sister Martha and a brother Alex who both died at very young ages. Moved to Hanover, Lucknow and Gorrie in his younger years. He attended public schools in Hanover and Gorrie and high school in Lucknow (1939/1940 for high school). He joined the navy in 1944 and was married in 1946 and had three sons who were born in 1947 (Ken), 1949 (Jim) and 1952 (Ron). Farmed until 1948 before moving to Gorrie and starting work with Howick Township, and then joined the Huron County Roads Department in 1950. In 1960 he moved to Goderich and started a 25 year career with Champion Road Machinery Sales Company Limited. Lived in Goderich and held many positions within the company and moved to North Bay in 1968 to open and manage a new branch operation which would open up the Northern Ontario market for Champion Sales Company. At the North Bay operation Bower and Helen worked side by side for their entire careers. In 1976 Bower and Helen purchased Wright Point Resort in Port Loring, Ontario where they lived until 1985. In 1985 he sold the Lodge and retired from Champion and moved back to Wroxeter. In 1998 they moved from Wroxeter to Goderich and have split their summers and winters between their apartment and their home at Shelter Valley Campground. The family received friends at the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Goderich on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., then at the Gorrie Visitation Centre on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109 Goderich held a service at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. Interment Gorrie Cemetery. Donations to Alexandra • Marine and General Hospital Foundation - CT Fund or London Health Sciences Centre Foundation gratefully acknowledged. Friends may sign the book of condolences at www.mccallumpalla.ca. —15ar ROSS Joan Ross passed peacefully on Saturday; March 28, 2009 in her 85th year. Dear wife of Gerrard Ross. Loving mother to her six children, Gerard (Bernadette) of Howe Island, Gillian Robertson of London, Michael (Janet) of North Bay, Joan Oue (Gerry) of Stratford, Pamela Irwin (Kevin, children Sarah, Ben and Laura) of Point Clark, and David (Caroline and children Andrea and Robert) of Goderich. Memories will be cherished forever by her 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Edith and William Edmondson of England and sister Phyllis Taylor and brother-in-law John Taylor of Goderich. There was no visitation and a private family service was scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, with Father Tom Ferrera of St. Joseph's Church officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Goderich Branch 109 of the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated. —1 5x SEGUIN Raymond Joseph peacefully at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital on Friday, March 27, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Ray Seguin, survived by his loving companion Elaine and her daughters Emily and Andrea. Remembered fondly by his three brothers and three sisters. Raymond will be missed by both his and Elaine's families. Family and friends visited at the McKersie -Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street, Milton. The funeral service was held on Monday, March 30, 2009 in the funeral home chapel, Reverend Bill Vanderstelt officiated.
