Yes, the horrible winter snows have gone, only to be replaced by sunshine, scattered showers and horrible winter snows, alternately.. Now is the time for wildflow- ers, rubber boots and the occasional parka, and for many kids in town, it's also the time to mothball the skates and bang last year's mud out of their cleats - hopefully outside the house. It's with that in mind I write this, because next Saturday, April 18, is the beginning of Ontario Coaches Week. Back when the Zurich boys were nothing short of the most dynamic baseball town in southern Huron County, we were coached by a guy everybody called Wally. Every Saturday morning we were at the diamond bright and early for practice and Wally would be there hitting fly balls for the outfielders, grounders for the infielders, teaching kids how to get in front of the ball to catch it and to not be afraid of an in- coming pitch.
