Loving mother of Lynn Bearden (Ron), Steven Marlatt (Marisa) and the late Larry Neil Marlatt (1995). Beloved grandmother of Bianca and Jeffrey Marlatt. Jean is predeceased eby her husband James Marlatt (1992). She will be missed by her loving companion Jack Scaman. Jean was born in Williamsburg, Ontario on July 27, 1926. Following her marriage to James in 1946, they lived in Toronto, Ottawa, Kitchener and Woodstock . before moving to Goderich in 1970. Jean worked in the Bank of Nova Scotia before retiring in 1989. The family received friends at McCallum & Palia Funeral Home, Goderich on Friday from 2-4 .and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held at North Street United Church, Goderich, on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1 p.m. Rev. Roy Nicol -Macdonald officiated. Donations to the OSPCA or Salvation Army gratefully acknowledged. Pallbearers were Reed Richardson, Bob Stoddart, John Smallwood, Henry Elderhorst and Scott Campbell. Beloved wife of the late Henk Boer. Dear mother of Harry (Barb) Boer of Forest, Mona (Sid) Bruinsma of Goderich Twp. and John Boer of Cottam. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Also predeceased by brothers Bill and Luurt and sister Annie. Friends called at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St., Goderich on Monday 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, Goderich, on Tuesday March 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. Rev. Stephen Tamming officiated. Pallbearers were grandchildren Jody Harder, Connie McCormick, Rick Bruinsma, Anita Schroeder, Paul Bruinsma and John Bruinsma. Interment was held at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. Rev. Fred Heslinga officiated. Donations to the Essex Christian Reformed Church gratefully acknowledged. Friends may sign the book of condolences at www.mccallumpalla.ca. —14ar MILLER Paula Mae (nee Denney) of London, Ontario, formerly of Goderich and Bayfield, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2009 in her 83rd year. She was predeceased by her sister Janet Wilson and brother C. Beverly Howey. Paula is lovingly remembered by her children Susan Beairsto of Campbell River, BC, Barbara Bocking (Alan) of Toronto and D. Scott Miller of Trenton, Ontario. Proud grandmother of Sarah Beairsto and Natalie, Jacqueline and Kimberley Bocking. She is survived by several special nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the James A.
