Fmishing the season with a 22-14-1 record, and bronze and gold medals from tourna- ments in Glencoe and Aylmer, the team has fared well. The PeeWee Rep team will start off their drive for Young Canada Week conquest against the Kincardine Kinucks, a team they have had mixed results with in the past. Their first match of the season ended in a high -scoring 6-6 tie. Subsequent games re- sulted in six losses and one win for Goder- ich. • The Rep team will then take on St. Mary's Rock and the Wallaceburg Jr. Lakers, two teams they haven't come up against in season play. Coach Stan Lapointe says that it has been a pretty good season, and that everyone has played well. The Rep team are in the midst of their play- offs, having playing a round-robin WOAA 'B' Division qualifier with teams such as the Kincardine Kinucks, Hanover Falcons, and the Saugeen Shores Storm. They will now face off against the Minto Boys. The PeeWee Rep team's Young Canada Week schedule is as follows: Kincardine at 7.50 p.m. on March 13, and St. Mary's and Wallaceburg at 8:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m., re- spectively, on March 15. All matches will be played at the Mailtand Rec Centre. Peewee Sailorettes The PeeWee Sailorettes are preparing for Young Canada Week, and they have a good year of practice behind. "So far this year we are 14-14-4," coach Tom Vance explained in a letter to The Signal -Star. "In November, we got gold at the Waterloo Ravens' tour- nament and in February we went to the International Silver Stick and we went 1-1-1." The Sailorettes are currently in pro- vincial play -downs. Starting their YCW run off against Tiverton, the Sailorettes are aiming for a repeat of their early season success against the Thunder. Their other two scheduled matches pit the Sailorettes against Markdale's Shooting Stars and the Wiarton Girls, two teams Goderich hasn't seen in league action. In recent action, The Sailorettes went 1-1 with the Blyth Bulldogs with a 4-2 loss and a 5-1 win. They devastated the Lucknow girls 15-0, lost to the Milver- ton Royals 3-1, trumped the Stratford Aces 3-1, and were bested by the Mea - ford Mustangs, 4-1. Their first match in Young Canada Week is on March 13 at 5 p.m. in the Maitland Rec Centre. South Huron, a team they haven't played against in the season, will be their first con- tender. A win will send them towards the championship side of the Local League division, and have them play on March 18, at 2:40 p.m. A loss against South Huron will send them towards the consolation finals, playing at 1:30 p.m. on March 19.
