Lauren Dietrich of the Goderich Tweens seems to be a little bit outnumbered in front of Mitchell's net during the Tweens February 26 match. Mitchell was able to
sneak past Goderich 4-3. For more photos, see page 26.
Pirates drop first quarter -final matchup

The Goderich Pirates can't seem
to catch a break this play-off season.
Their first post -season round pitted
them against first -seeded Petrolia, and
made for some intense; close games,
but unfortunately, Goderich lost the se-
ries, 4-0. Now, standing between them
and their season goal; the 'A' Cham-
pionship, is the second -seeded team,
Lucan-Ilderton.
Unfortunately, Goderich couldn't
start off this series with a win, instead
pushing their first match -up with the
Jets into over -time, where they lost,
4-3.
The Lucan-Ilderton Jets were de-
feated in a huge upset by the seventh
place Monkton Wildcats. Lucan .took
the first game in the series 4-1, but
Monkton followed_ that with four wins,
one in over -time.
Goderich may be going up against the
second -seeded Jets, but GM Trevor Bazi-
net feels that things will be different than
they were in Goderich's season matches.
