Beloved husband of Olive (Kneeshaw-Monk). Loving father of Michael Bowers, Kitchener and May (Dan) Stark, Stratford. Proud grandfather of Mark and Jeffrey Stark. Dear step -father of Melanie Evers (Mike Kohut), the late Debra Lebrasceur (Dan), Jamie Nichols (late Wayne), Darcy Parr (Eric Kirkman) and Wes Monk. Predeceased by first wife Betty -Jean (Kennedy), parents Edward & Mamie Bowers, son Mark, daughter Monica and brothers William and Gordon. Ted served with the Royal Canadian Regiment during. WWII and retired from Corrections Canada (Ottawa). A great joy in Ted's life was spending time in his garden. At Ted's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery, Goderich. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 519-344-3131. Deeply loved and sadly missed by Bert, her husband of 55 yearn and daughter Barbara Allen, and mother-in- law to Brian. Born near Clinton to Leila and Edward Ball, she moved to London, Ontario after graduating from The Clinton Business College in 1942 where she met her husband Bert. Together they lived in Halifax and Ottawa before making Toronto their home for over 40 years. Her passion in life was her family and traveling with Bert. Beloved wife of the late John Charles (1982). Mother of the late son Phillip Michael (1975). Loving mother of John and Diana, grandmother of Derek and Susan of Sarnia, Chantelle and Gregg Scroggs of Camlachie and great-grandmother to Tyler of Sarnia. Sister-in-law of Margaret Willis of Goderich, survived by nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Interment will take place in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor. —9ar MACCROSTIE Carol Louise MacCrostie of Lucknow, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on February 14, 2009 in her 75th year. Survived by her sister Marie Toll of Blyth and her Aunt Dorothy McKenzie of Huronlea. She is lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews: Cheryl and Tom Cronin, Vaughn and Marlene Toll, Avon and Al Corneil all of Blyth, Kerry and Greer Black of Calgary, Dale and Hope MacCrostie of Bervie, and Annette McKellar of Victoria, BC. She will be sadly missed by many great, and great -great nieces and nephews. Carol is predeceased by her parents William MacCrostie and Myrtle (Webster), her brothers Hugh and Ronald, her sister-in-law Amy MacCrostie, brother-in-law Aubrey Toll and nephew . Terry McKellar. A Private Funeral Service was held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Homes, Lucknow Chapel with Reverend Gary Clark officiating. Memorial donations were to Huron Women's Shelter Second Stage Housing, and to the ACW Township (St. Helen's Hall). Spring Interment in Greenhill Cemetery.
