Following the closing of the Synod
the Charoh of England COUlliCa for
-Social Service undertook an extensive
;study of tile Boy Scout Movemeat, eir-
•cularizing clergy all over Canada with
reference to it. Over alle intp:drect re-
plies were re-ceived and according to
the Council's report just published
these we -re a virtual- "chorus of praise
1fisom our clergy from one. Side of the
Dominion to the o,bliers not a single
be,ing received which condemned the
movement." One letter quoted in the
,report read in part ate follows:

every point. Its m-etbods- inculcate
ideallsom, and appeal profoundly to the
boy temperament. They stimulate

their entirely non-seetaria-n character
creates the best kind of patrio,tic in-
fluence. Amongsall the progressive
movements in Canada to -day that of
Ilia Boy- Scout organization strikes the
public as the finest, sanest and most
definitely useful."
