In their first game, Goderich started out slow, going down a goal, but by the end of the first they were ahead thanks to goals by Tyler Durst and Ty- ler Million. In the second period, Goderich's William Kelly extended the lead by one, and that lead would hold until the third. Two quick goals by Mitchell tied the game and forced overtime, but Josh Martel put an end to that on a rebound goal, assisted by Shawn McColl and Andrew Hogan -Cann. Lucas Denomme minded the net for Goderich, helping them get this win. Their second game, held Jan. 15 at'home, was a blowout. Goderich dominated Mitchell 4-0. Shawn Gethke took the shutout, while goals were scored by Cory Troudeau, Brandon Gibson, McColl and Million. Saturday night Goderich had the opportunity to end the series, but couldn't convert that chance to a win.
