Skiing 18 holes at the Maitland Country Club was the
perfect start to a Saturday afternoon for Hilary Hodg-
es, Beth Ross, Brenda Peck, Patrick Capper and John
Thompson. The group met at the golf course Jan. 10 to
fill their scorecard with winter activity.

Vikes trail in basketball standings
This is not the year for Goderich boys' basket-
ball, as both the senior and junior Vikings have yet
to produce a win on the court.
As of last week, the Vikings were both sitting
at six losses and no wins as they approach the last
month of regular season.
Shawn Dawson and Zach Doherty continue to
lead the scoring for the seniors, with 16 and 13
points for their last two games respectively.
Scott McGee and Matt Clarke lead the. juniors on
the stat sheet, McGee with an impressive 18 points
in last Wednesday's game against Mitchell.
Down the highway, St. Anne's is sitting middle
of the road with three wins, two losses for the sea-
son.
The Eagles produced some big wins against St.
Marys and Listowel but couldn't crack
the Stratford nut.
Leading the league is juggernaut St.
Mikes of Stratford. The Warriors are un-
beaten in six games - each of those wins
convincing.
The closest game the Warriors have
played this year was a 67-36 win against
South Huron.
Once again, F.E. Madill has, produced
a powerhouse team, their only loss of
the year coming from the Panthers.
The Mustangs. share second place with
Stratford Central.
The Vikes are at home today, Jan. 14,
hosting the St. Anne's Eagles.
Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
