Mrs. Jas. Taylor and daughter Mrs.
Burke and family, of Stratford, and
Mrs. R. Huston, of London, visited
friends in town over the 24th.
Mr. Thos. Harton, of London, has
been visiting with friends in town.
Mr. Harton expects to leave shortly
for a three months trip to the West.
Mr. Edward Taylor of the :Molsons
Bank staff, Centralia, has been trans-
ferred to Ridgway, a -gentleman from
Ridgway taking Mr. Taylor's place at
Centralia.
Mr. Wm, Baker, of the West, who
has just graduated from the Toronto
University with Bachelor of Arts de- '
gree, visited With relatives in town
during the week.'

The 24th of May passed off quietly,
in Exeter. A number of the citizens
spent part of the day in their gar-`
dens. The bowling green attracted
a `number. Fishing was a, favorite
Pastime with not a few. Some went
tor'the river, oti ers to Grand° Bend.
There' were over forty on the dock at
one time in the morning. The catch
was small
