Sundays- ago ag'o "Mr. Baker collapsed in
the pulpit . and this was followed
shortly .after, by a paralytic stroke,
and at' present his condition is con-
sidered very serious. Mr. Baker was
a former pastor on the Crediton and
Woodham circuits, leaving Crediton
only two years ago. Mrs. Baker is a
former resident of Exeter, her maid-
en name being Miss , Hattie Follicle.

ther more ancient than Exeter, Ont.
and its Cathedral and Guildhall, are
very fine. The 'latter is the oldest
municipal building in England dating
back to 1330. ' Torquay is really the
most beautiful seaside place l: have
visited and we have been practically
to all the famous places on the dif-
ferent coasts:' It has a sub -tropical
climate, and the palm trees and flow'=
ers are very beautiful. I. am mak-
ing a tour of -southern, Eng. for the
second time, but northern England
has many fine places too, particularly
the English Lake District." Miss

On Sunday April` 30th, Mrs. Simon
Bunter of Usborne passed' away at
the age of 69 years and 1 month
The deceased; lady had been ailing
for several years but was taken see•-
iously ill only about a week previous
to her death.. Her Maiden name was
Mary Aim Cooper, -being born in Us -
borne: Township,,,,....She was united in,
marriage to Mr. ,Sinton Hunter,. who
predeceased her`four years ago last
,Iantiary. The clecea sed•, was a"mem-

Church and was held in the hfgirest
esteem by aIarge' number friends.
Five sons and two daughters survive:
George, Sherwood and William of Us

Alta:; and Mrs., Everett Skinner of

passed away after air illness of four
