EXETER -ZURICH WIN
.AT ST. MARYS
Exeter -Zurich played the return
game with St. Marys : in the latter
town on Wednesday night, and pull-
ed out another win by the score of
11 to 6, in what was the roughest
game our boys have yet experienced.
St. Marys claimed that they/could j
not beat our boys but that they were l
going to let them know that they i
were in a game and they started in
right off the bat to beat up our team.
If it had not been that we have a
good, clean bunch of gentlemen in
the team there sure would have been
trouble, but they held their heads
while St. Marys cut and slaslied over
the head and in the stomach, and
even kicked with their skates. The
boys took it with a smile and went
' right on getting the goals. 'When
the St. Marys crew could notget the
players sore.•they took a poke'. or two
at some of' our rooters, but 'he wllo
laughs last, laughs best, and that
was the' case with the vistors ' We
are sure ° proud of our hockey 'teaitr.
A'.-teamthat can take what they dict
and smile are real sports and must
be commended. It is pretty bad
where the referee is scared out of his
boots. Our boys all played a star
game. The second period wag the
fastest one. Our boys swept down
the ice three and four abreast right
into the mouth of the goal where the
best goal tender in the world could.
not stop them. The St.Marys fans
had to own irp:that we ,have a won-
derful working teach. If the locals
I had a high salaried coach .like some
of the teams have, we would be look-
ing for a nice, big window in town to
put the big championship cup of On-
tario in. 'We are living in Tropes of
getting up around it anyway. The
teams lined up' about the sante as
the game Here. St. Marys was
strengthened with another Lavelle.
Lightfobt, of Stratford, had the bell
but that is about all that can be said,
